Vlieg Met Me Mee

A warm and relatable story about three generations of women – mother, daughter, and granddaughter – who unexpectedly end up under one roof again. As old irritations and unspoken feelings cause tensions to rise, Paul de Leeuw’s songs articulate exactly what they themselves do not dare to say.

In Vlieg Met Me Mee, circumstances cause the family to live together again. When daughter Sanne (Brigitte Heitzer) moves in with her mother Dorien (Simone Kleinsma) and granddaughter Bibi (Lisa Schol) also ends up under the same roof, tensions quickly rise.

How well do you really know your family? What do you share with each other, and what has remained unspoken for years? While mother, daughter, and granddaughter try to understand each other, Paul de Leeuw’s music turns out to articulate exactly what they themselves do not dare to put into words.

In a story with humor, sharp dialogue by Lex Passchier, and direction by Joep Onderdelinden, old wounds are laid bare and space is made for the future.
