Darkride
An enchanting dance spectacle by master choreographer Ed Wubbe in honor of 75 years of Efteling. Darkride is an ode to the child within you: a thrilling journey full of wonder and imagination set to the iconic music of Efteling.
Darkride cancelled – Statement Efteling
Senf and Efteling have decided to withdraw the performance Darkride. During further development, it became clear that the dance spectacle could not be continued in a responsible manner, both productionally and financially. We regret the consequences for everyone involved in the production and for visitors who have already purchased a ticket.
Led by a mysterious magician, a motley crew of dancers and acrobats travels through worlds in which nothing is what it seems. This exciting journey leads from darkness to light, past ever-changing scenes and emotions. Sometimes grotesque and dangerous, then again moving, poetic and dreamy. Composer René Merkelbach arranged the music of the Efteling especially for this performance, while voice artist Luca Warmer adds extra colour to the music with her unique sound.
On stage are the best dancers and acrobats from the Netherlands, brought together especially for this performance. Prepare yourself for a wondrous journey that challenges you to follow your feelings and embrace the unknown.
