The Guest House of Sint Nicolaas no longer needs an introduction for the real fans. Where else can children sympathize and participate in the adventures of Saint Nicholas and his helpers? Every year the good saint takes up residence in the Woldhuis in Apeldoorn for a weekend. There he and his more than 80 helpers make preparations for the festive Christmas Eve on December 5. You can visit Het Logeerhuis van Sint Nicolaas on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 November. The tours in Het Logeerhuis are sold out, but there is also a lot to do in the outside area!

The outside area

The outside area is full of Piets entertaining the children. Children can do all sorts of things there, says Arendo Sturre. Last year the pony riding proved to be a success. That is why they are present again this anniversary year. Children can also pop popcorn or bake a sandwich by the warm campfire. To celebrate this anniversary year with our visitors, we have extra entertainment on the outside area. Scouting group JJB and Circus Apeldoorn are also present again, so that the children can climb on the climbing wall like a real Pete and show their skills at the circus tent. A popular activity is the signature card with which the children can look for the theme characters. “The children love this and run all over the site,” says Arno Ribbink, an early board member. There are performances all day long in the cozy Pietencafé, where Piet Latus Pas and the musical duo DJ&Pesto can be heard. No ticket for a tour is therefore no reason not to keep the weekend of November 25 and 26 free for a visit to Het Logeerhuis van Sint Nicolaas.
