Eye of Melian
Eye of Melian is an international symphonic ensemble that blurs the boundaries between film music, classical, and fantasy. With songwriter and producer Martijn Westerholt (Delain, Within Temptation) and singer Johanna Kurkela (Finland), they create a sound that is both grand and intimate — a cinematic approach to symphonic music.
Eye of Melian distinguishes itself through a unique fusion of orchestral grandeur, ethereal vocals, and compositional depth. The music is inspired by film composers such as Hans Zimmer and Howard Shore, combined with the poetic fantasy world of Tolkien. In February 2026, the band presented its new studio album at Hedon Zwolle, followed by a theater tour in Finland. For this performance, Eye of Melian strives for a total immersion of the visitor — a symbiosis of image, sound, and atmosphere.
