Next, Tchaikovsky’s world unfolds: the colorful Capriccio Italien, full of southern melodies and theatrical gestures, and the magical suite from Sleeping Beauty , where his masterful orchestration comes fully into its own. Conductor Cosette Justo Valdés makes her debut with the Residentie Orkest. Ukrainian pianist Anna Fedorova is renowned for her deep expression.
