Drugsmonologen

One in ten adults in the Netherlands uses drugs. In Drugsmonologen, they are given a voice. Relatable people. Real stories. No judgment. A search for something that silences the noise for a moment.

We live in a time that never stands still – an endless stream of stimuli, expectations, and noise. More and more people seek solace in mind-altering substances. The neighbor who shows up at work fresh every Monday. The friend who is always there for everyone. The colleague who never complains. Drug Monologues touches upon what many feel but few articulate.

Raymi Sambo Maakt creates performances, podcasts, films, and talk shows rooted in the intercultural and queer community. This is the third performance in a series addressing personal and widely discussed topics: first Gender Monologues, last season Sex Monologues, and Courtroom Monologues will follow in 2028.
