Dikkie Dik – the most famous cat in the Netherlands with his red fur and mischievous gaze – embarks on a musical adventure with children’s musician Dirk Scheele. They dance the Cat Dance, play hide-and-seek, and drink fizzy lemonade. Sing, jump, and meow along: a cheerful party for the little ones!
For 30 years, Dirk Scheele has been touching new generations of children with his infectious songs. In this interactive show – full of recognizable tunes and mischief – he pulls out all the stops together with Dikkie Dik. A show for children aged 2 to 7 who sing along, dance along, and participate.
Dirk Scheele has now reached nearly a million children. On YouTube, 85,000 subscribers follow his adventurous series, and Ik loop als een beer has over 6 million streams on Spotify. For his body of work, he received the first Buma Children’s Music Prize and a Royal Decoration for his years of dedication to charitable causes. Dikkie Dik is the icon from the famous picture books by Jet Boeke.
In the show, Dikkie Dik can be seen via projection in Dirk’s cozy living room in the style of Jet Boeke. He will also appear as a puppet, and there will be an opportunity to have your picture taken with Dirk afterwards!
