In this special focus programme, the company showcases the power, beauty, and emotion of Kylián’s influential dance language. With 15 works from his extensive oeuvre in the Introdans repertoire, the company puts this exceptional creator in the spotlight. Kylián’s vision translates not only into movement; the staging is also part of the choreography. His influential dance theatre has set the tone worldwide.
Kinderspelen drew inspiration from the 16th-century painting by Pieter Brueghel the Elder. Petite Mort is an epic choreography about life, love, and death. Chapeau is a vibrant occasional work set to music by Prince, created in honor of the former Queen Beatrix. Additionally, the short film Scalamare by Kylián will be screened, showcasing his cinematic perspective on art and time.
