Broederliefde
After sixteen years of success, Broederliefde brings their story to the theater for the first time. In this performance, they look back on their career – from breakthrough to highlights – with the music that made them famous and the stories behind it. An evening full of music, personal stories, and pure friendship.
Last December, Broederliefde played a sold-out Ahoy with their show Huis van Broederliefde , but now they are taking a new direction. For the first time, the group is bringing their story to the theater. An evening in which they look back on their career, from highs to setbacks.
In the show, they take the audience back to their early years and how success developed from zero to a hundred in a short time. They talk about the origins of their music and the impact it has had on their lives, but also about the choices behind certain songs and the conversations that went with them. Broederliefde stands for love, humor, and pure friendship – and that is exactly what they want to share with the audience in the theater.
In sixteen years, Broederliefde grew into one of the most defining groups within the Dutch music industry. With nine albums to their name, multiple sold-out Ahoy shows, and a career full of highlights, they have become an indispensable part of the Dutch music landscape.
Hard Work Pays Off 2 was the album that brought them their major breakthrough. To mark the tenth anniversary, they sold out the ‘Annabel’ music venue in Rotterdam five times earlier this year, the place where the album’s release party took place back then. With this album, the group still holds the record for the longest-running number-1 album in the Netherlands, with a streak of fourteen weeks.
